New projects needing urgent funding: Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan and India see - Current Initiatives

As we continue to seek ways in which we can help those in need of clean water 7 new ways of doing that have come to LWF.  Rev Garang with Christ Mission has brought to us 7 water well rehab projects that are deeply needed.

Each of the 7 villages has an estimated population of 1200 residents (200 Households) of which of which 57% are women, 43% are men. The boreholes were drilled between 2008 and 2010 by UNICEF and have been providing clean water to the residents of these villages.

Although the government was to maintain these wells they simply have not and now these people are in great need.  Many of these boreholes have been broken for between one and two years. The breakdown of the boreholes has forced the residents of these villages to resort to collecting water from ponds and rivers. The water from these sources is contaminated and therefore puts the villagers at risk of contracting water-borne diseases. The women of these villages have also been forced to walk long distances in search of water.

Making the biggest difference with the money we raise is a goal of ours and we see these projects as one way of achieving this goal.  For about 1000 USD per well we can replace the internal parts and repair the above ground cement work as well.  Would you consider supporting one of these villages?

Below are some pics and names of the villages, God Bless
