Akuac Village
12 kilometers a day – that is the distance the villagers in and around Akuac in South Sudan had to walk every day just to collect water from a contaminated water source. Although the community had a well drilled by the Red Cross in 2018, it stopped working within 2 years and the community had to return to walking for water. But thanks to generous donors, the well has been repaired, giving hope for better health and education for all.
