New, new, new!

New, new, new!

New country, new partner, and FOUR new wells!

We are thrilled to be working with a new partner the Rural Development Society (RDS) in India and assisting them in their work in the Kadapa District in southeast India.    We have now completed 4 brand new borehole wells in 4 remote communities.  Each of these was using water that was 3-4 kilometers from their homes, wasting valuable time for the women and children in the community.    With this new partnership, over 1,302 households now have direct access to a clean water source right in their village!  Once installed, RDS provided teaching on basic proper hygeine, and established a village committee to maintain the new well.  Thank you to our supporters, and we look forward to more great work with RDS!

“Prior to installation of the hand-pump borewell in our village, I and my school-going son and daughter were going by walk for 3kms distance to bring the water from agriculture bore well.  We have to wake up too early in the morning every day for fetching water.  Many times my children were absent from their schools.  Now, after the installation of this hand pump borewells very near to my home, I am happy to say that, now I am able to bring water myself.  I am able to send my children to school at right time.  Many thanks to the donor of this borewell who supported this project to solve our water scarcity problem”.
