Aguk Mading village
The Aguk Mading Village in Aweil East State of South Sudan has a population of about 925 people who were without access to clean water. Their borehole well was broken and required the replacement of many parts. The villagers, primarily the women and girls, were collecting water from shallow ponds that collected rainwater. In the dry season, this meant they were walking about 5 hours daily to fetch dirty water from the river.
But, in July 2019 we were able to repair the well and restore time, health and dignity to this community. Funds for this well were raised by counter donations at Hi-Tech Seals in Edmonton and generously topped up to provide all the money required for a full well repair.
Thank you Hi-Tech Seals!
